Our story

Ancient wisdom, delivered daily.

We built howismy.today because authentic Vedic guidance shouldn't require a temple visit or a 90-minute consultation. It should arrive on your phone, every morning.

What we stand for

A simple set of beliefs that shapes everything we do.

Why we exist

To make rigorous, chart-specific Jyotish accessible to anyone with a phone — not generic sun-sign filler.

What we believe

Astrology is a language for noticing patterns. Used well, it sharpens self-awareness; used poorly, it becomes superstition.

Who we serve

People who want practical guidance grounded in their actual birth chart — not someone else's horoscope column.

How we work

A small team of Vedic scholars, engineers, and writers, headquartered in Bengaluru with contributors across India and the US.

By the numbers

A small company, a serious craft.

Our journey

How howismy.today came to be.

2023

A side-project in Bengaluru

Two engineers and a Sanskrit scholar started computing nakshatras for friends over WhatsApp. The replies they got back were unlike any horoscope app feedback they'd seen.

2024

The first 100 readers

Word spread through a meditation community in Bengaluru. We built a real chart engine, switched to Lahiri ayanamsa, and added our first AI-assisted interpretation layer.

2025

Seed round + launch

Raised a small seed round to support full-time scholarship review. Launched publicly with daily Vimshottari dasha tracking, mahadasha and antardasha alignment.

2026

12,000 readers in 40 countries

Today we serve a global readership, with localized timing and growing language coverage. Our scholars review every interpretation template that goes out.

What we won't do

Three lines we don't cross.

No fear-selling

We won't tell you a planet is 'attacking' your chart to upsell a remedy. Doshas are stated factually with context, never weaponised.

No fake personalisation

If we don't have your exact birth time, we say the reading is approximate. We don't dress up sun-sign output as Vedic precision.

No medical claims

Astrology is for reflection, not diagnosis. We never substitute readings for medical, legal, or mental-health care.

The daily reading is short enough that I actually read it. And accurate enough that I've stopped sharing screenshots ironically.
